We never use a fixed shade for every client — it always depends on your hair colour, skin tone, and the look you're going for. For lighter hair, we typically work with softer, cooler, or more neutral tones rather than deep browns or blacks. We'll show you options and talk through what we think will work best before we apply anything.

How long does brow tint last on lighter hair?

Accepted Answer

Brow tint typically lasts 3–5 weeks. On very fine or light hair the colour can fade a little faster, as finer hair holds pigment differently. We'll let you know what to expect based on your hair type during your appointment.

Will brow lamination suit me if I have fine or light brows?

Accepted Answer

Lamination works particularly well on fine brows because it gives them structure and fullness without adding colour. Many clients with fair brows love the result from lamination alone — but if you'd like a little more definition, we can combine it with a very light tint.

Will lamination make my brows look too bold for my colouring?

Accepted Answer

Lamination itself doesn't add colour — it just reshapes the hair. The bold brow look comes from combining lamination with a heavy tint, which we'd never apply without discussing it with you first. If you want a softer result, we can keep the tint very light or skip it altogether.

Does threading work differently on lighter or finer hair?

Accepted Answer

Threading removes hair at the follicle regardless of colour, so it works just as effectively on light or fine hair. In fact, many clients with finer hair prefer threading because of how precise it is — it removes hair cleanly without disturbing the surrounding skin. There's no colour involved, so there's no risk of anything looking unnatural.

Will threading leave my brows looking sparse?

A good threading technician works with what you have. We don't have a one-size-fits-all brow shape — we'll look at your natural brow, talk about what you'd like to achieve, and remove only what's needed. If your brows are naturally sparse or fine, we'll be conservative and focus on shaping rather than volume.

Will a lash tint look natural on lighter lashes?

Accepted Answer

Yes — and it can be genuinely transformative. As with brows, we match the shade to your colouring. For fair-haired clients, a dark brown is often a better choice than black — it gives real definition while still looking natural. We'll always discuss the options before we start.

Question 8

I'm worried a lash tint will make me look overdone. How do you avoid that?

Accepted Answer

By not defaulting to the darkest shade. For clients with lighter colouring, we'll often recommend a softer brown rather than jet black. The goal is definition, not drama — unless drama is what you're after, in which case we can absolutely do that too.
